New Content Alert: Vulnerability Response (VR) Implementation Simulator (Tokyo)

Hi All,

Happy to announce, we've released an implementation Simulator for Vulnerability Response. 

Please click here to access the simulator in NowLearning and enroll. 

We've tried to cover common configurations that implementers usually encounter during the actual implementation of Vulnerability Response.

Below are some of the task areas the simulator covers:

• Assignment Groups creation
• Core concepts of VR like Assignment Rules, Remediation Task Rules, and Risk Calculators
• NVD integration to bring in known vulnerabilities
• Qualys integration to bring in third-party vulnerabilities
• Shodan Enrichment integration
• Vulnerability Workspaces

We will be adding new tasks to this simulator every release and try to keep things as close as possible to a real implementation.

I know it's frustrating, but as someone who's done the CIS-VR, I'd suggest you don't worry about it.

There's nothing in this simulator course you need for the VR exam.

Sure, it's a nice bit of additional related experience, but it may actually be better to spend your time revising the content of the VR Implementation course -- and going through the labs again -- because that course contains everything you need to pass the exam.

Is there an update to this?  It's now January 11, 2025.  Once Exam Maintenance Window is released, I will be booking my exam for VR-CIS for February 2025.

Hi Vishal6,

We are currently in the process of developing it. We aim to provide a better experience based on feedback from the previous simulation, which was essentially a rehash of the course labs, as Simon mentioned. I am confident that this will be released in Q1 2025.

However, if you have time constraints, please proceed with taking the exam once the exam window opens. If you have some hands-on experience and have read the book and the documentation site, you should be well-prepared to pass the exam.
