How to hide 'New' button on workspace related list and how to remove added items?

We're using the agent workspace for CSM and created a many-to-many table to allow cases to be related to cases. This was added as a related list and an 'Add' button created to allow cases to be linked - this part works find. Two issues remain however:

1. There is a 'New' button visible on this related list that I can't see a way to remove it. I found this article, but it looks like Orlando no longer has the navigator module mentioned:

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/madrid-servicenow-platform/page/administer/workspace/task/prevent...

2. Adding cases to be linked works fine, but I can't find a way to unlink cases? I tried adding another button and looking through available UI components, but didn't come across anything relevant.

Any pointers would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,

Check the following

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Agent Workspace > Settings.
  2. Open the New Button List Exclusion tab.
  3. Click New.
  4. Select a table from the list.
  5. Make sure that Active is selected.
  6. Click Submit.

Result

Any table included in the New Button List Exclusion list does not include a New button in Agent Workspace. Also refer this, https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/newyork-servicenow-platform/page/administer/workspace/task/config... Please mark it correct and helpful. Thanks,

To add to my previous comments, the fact that I had to carry out the steps described before being able to follow the procedure makes me think that this procedure is no longer applicable for Orlando.

Thanks Priyanka,

To carry out the steps you listed (which are the same as the ones in the link I listed in my description) I had to:

  • Activate the 'Agent Workspace' application menu. This was inactive by default.
  • Add the 'New Button List Exclusion' related list to the form as this was not there initially.

When I created the necessary record as instructed, the New button is still visible in the list.

The link you posted for building UI actions does not help here as I'm after a related list button.

Thanks
