Configure a workflow for a Now Assist AI web agent

  • Make a Now Assist AI web agent available to your users by configuring a workflow for it.

    Set your application scope to Now Assist AI web agent.

    Warum und wann dieser Vorgang ausgeführt wird

    A web agent named Web Automation Agent is provided by default when you install Now Assist AI web agents. Create a workflow referencing this web agent so that your users can find and use the workflow in the Now Assist panel.

    Ensure that enhanced chat is available in Now Assist panel. The Web view pane is available only when enhanced chat is enabled. For more information see Enhanced chat.

    Prozedur

    1. Confirm that you are in the Now Assist AI web agent application scope, and navigate to All > AI Agent Studio > Create and manage.
    2. Select the Agentic workflows tab.

    3. Select New to open a guided setup with three steps.

    4. In the Define key requirements step of the guided setup, fill in the fields, then select Save and continue.
      FieldDescription
      Workflow Name Enter a descriptive name for the workflow. This name becomes selectable in the Now Assist panel.
      Workflow description Enter a clear and precise description of the goal of the workflow (for use by the LLM).
      List of steps Enter a numbered list of steps to achieve your goal (for use by the LLM).
      Add AI agents that can perform these steps Open the modal by selecting Add AI agent. Search for Web Automation Agent.
      Define who can access this agentic workflow Allow users to access your workflow according to your business requirements. Available choices in the User access field:
      • Any authenticated user
      • Users with specific roles
      • Public

      If you select the Users with specific roles option, the form opens a Role field containing a list of available roles.

      Select the entity this agentic workflow will run as In the Run as field, select Dynamic user.
      Ask Now Assist to suggest AI agents Leave this blank.
      Unsupported model providers Leave this blank.
    5. Wahlweise: In the Define key requirements step: select Generate description and steps to open a modal where Now Assist can help compose instructions for the LLM, based on the text that you enter.

    6. At the Add a preferred trigger step of the guided setup, do not set a trigger (leave this blank), then select Save and continue.
    7. In the Select a UI display step of the guided setup, toggle the Now Assist panel to Display, then select Save and test.

    Ergebnisse

    The workflow you have created becomes available in the Now Assist panel to the users you have designated.
