Hi SAM Community,
I am new to SAM and struggling a bit with following issue:
I found that registry keys are discovered and imported as software installation.
Some of them are normalized by the system to the licensable product (normalized or partially normalized).
Example Adobe products:
I see a software installation for i.e. Adobe Acrobat 2021 and for the same device Adobe Acrobat 2021 1.0.0000, which is following our engineer a separate registry key for the Adobe Acrobat product.
I understand to exclude these from the entitlements you can create a software model. Because we haven't started implementing the entitlements, I usually pull Software Installation reports from the normalized software product not the software model.
The question I have, how are you managing/dealing with registry keys that come over as software installation?
Would really appreciate any insight on this issue.
Thank you!
