Hello we are setting up our Discovery and CMDB we are almost done. I had a questions

How important is data certification

Is it easy to set up

should we set it up now

I know all the link in the wiki but in plan language what is it and how it works

Hi Kiran,

      You can create certification filters and select the version you want to use in a template or a certification schedule in Data certification.By default, GRC automatically executes all control test definitions associated with an audit definition, when the audit instance is created.

In a nutshell the data is created by Data certification application, and the generated data can be processed by GRC plugin.

        You can use the results of data certification with GRC application. Once the elements are certified the admin can view the Audit Results. GRC provides reporting on compliance, controls, and audits. GRC automatically executes any control test definition associated with an audit definition when the audit instance is created.

Data Certification is VITAL for Discovery and your CMDB. If you do not set up Data Certification you can cause your information to become stale and out of date very quickly. This will cause issues when you start routing incidents, problems, and tasks. It is extremely easy to set up and it can be set up very quickly regardless of how many configuration items you have.
