how to remove time value in the date

i have twi fields with name 1. start date 2. end date in the employee table

when i select the date it also capturing the time.

but i need date only.like below

Your field would be datetime field, change it to date field

@Aman Kumar  their is no data type with name DATE. i have tried this method

i dont have option to select  date type
