  • Increase the security posture of your instance by ensuring that the system recommended Customer Actions are implemented on time.

Customer Actions is a tool that helps administrators with implementing important security updates based on their instance and the configuration of plugins. A customer action is a recommended change on an instance that focuses on helping you understand the importance of security related changes. Customer Actions assists you with implementing the steps to scan, update, and test the security updates on your instance. Implement a customer action to help prevent interfering with the customization of your instance. Manually implemented Customer Actions are different than the automatic updates rendered on your instance to ServiceNow code or functionality with family releases or patches.

On the Customer Actions homepage, you can see the timeline of Customer Actions so that you can prioritize when to implement the steps. The timeline in the screenshot shows the Customer Actions that are overdue, and the ones that are due soon. In addition, you can track the progress of your Customer Actions under the Updates label. Select the tabs so that you can see the Customer Actions available, overdue, due soon, in progress, or complete.
