Hi,

We asked to discover Linux Appliance device in ServiceNow, when we tried to discover it classify SNMP and it returns OID# 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.1.6 this OID is not in ServiceNow. how can we discover Linux Appliance devices?

Note# We tried to add this OID but we are getting an error "SNMP OIDs starting with "undefined" are prevented from inserting. For more information please see undefined."

Hi @Vini ,

That OID represents a disk drive. That will perhaps not be helpful. What kind of Appliance is it? Is it the Linux host system you want to discovery then you should try SSH instead of SNMP but getting credential for the OS level of the appliance may not be possible. Depends on the type of appliance.

Hi @Niklas Peterson ,

These are Linux appliances and they are not able to configure SSH credentials at the device level.

OK, then discovering the appliance itself may be hard. But perhaps you can discover the functionality or applications that is hosted on the appliance. Appliances come in so many different shapes so it's really hard to give generic advice.
