Members of the group assigned to the task cannot assign the task to an individual for Cert Task

Hi All,

When creating certification tasks, members of the group assigned to the task cannot assign the task to an individual. Can anyone explain why this is not working? I would expect that if the group assigned wants to assign to a member on that team, they should have the capability to do

What is the error which u getting? Hope they are assigning the task to the member of the assigned group only, also can u check if there is any script or policy which is restricting it from doing so?

there is a write ACL on both Assignment Group and Assigned to Field for cert task table. it has certification_admin role and users with that role only can reassign the task. How can i modify the ACL to ensure users in the assignment group can have access to assign to field? What is the best practice in modifying the ACLs. Please assist

Hi @Suvetha S ,

If it's an OOTB ACL then I would suggest to create a new field level ACL for assigned to where u can add roles which that specific group users have in common.

Reason for creation of new ACL is if u modify the OOTB ACL , then while upgrade it becomes a problem for manually reviewing it. so the best practice would be if it's an OOTB ACL then create a new 1.

To identify OOTB ACL u can check the version of the ACL ,if no version is present or version related list is empty than its an OOTB ACL.

Yes, they are assigning the certification tasks  to the member of the assignment group only. The Assigned to field is getting greyed out while they are trying to reassign within the same assignment group.
