Also I know it can be done as I have done it before using my methods above so " Embedded into the Platform" is relative depending on where you will go to edit it in this case the Script Include.

As Greg pointed out, both the Task and Story Progress boards can be modified using built-in system properties.   I wanted to change the Planning Board, and alas, there is no system property, nor any Script Includes I'm aware of...

ServiceNow confirmed as much.   My hope is that it'll be editable in Fuji...I just checked, you cannot.   There were no updates to SDLC Scrum in Fuji Patch 1, the Planning Board is as frustrating as ever.

I am with you Robert - the Planning Board is the biggest obstacle in making the SCRUM process module really useful, especially in actual planning meetings.

This is the reply we received from SN on 3/31/15, when asking about changing the fields on the Planning Board.

'We do not provide the capability to change these list displays out-of-the-box, and we never have provided this capability.

... The Personalize > List icons are not available.

- The Jelly code for rendering the planning boards (planning_template.xml) is not exposed as either UI Pages or UI Macros.

- You would need to create your own Jelly as UI Macros with the correct names and write your own code for the planning boards in order to accomplish this.

- There also appears to be code in place in the out-of-box Jelly based on the Points field which would break if it was removed.

We do not advise trying to make this change. However, you could request an enhancement for the capability to personalize the columns in these displays.

You can create your own enhancement and specify your exact requirements by navigating to Self-service > Enhancement Requests.'

Enhancement request, FTASK20483, entered on 2014-11-13 requesting that Story Planning Board be allowed to be modified (for cripe's sake, at least let us filter out Draft, Cancelled, and Unapproved Stories!)
