Common dashboard tasks in the in-line editor

See how to create, edit, share, and delete Platform Analytics dashboards, along with other common tasks. Most tasks are launched from the same menu.

The majority of tasks you need to perform on a dashboard are available in the dashboard's More actions menu , including the creation of another dashboard.

Anyone can duplicate, print, or bookmark any dashboard to which they have access. If you have filters on the dashboard, you can clear all their values in one action. If you own a dashboard, you can also share or delete it. When you share a dashboard, you can let the user with whom you share the dashboard edit it or share it with more users. Dashboard administrators (dashboard_admin role) and ServiceNow AI Platform admins can perform any of these actions on any dashboard, or open the underlying PAR Dashboard [par_dashboard] record.

• Create a dashboard with the in-line editor
  In the Platform Analytics experience, you can create shareable dashboards with data visualizations, filters, and other elements. You can create elements and add existing elements from the inline editor.
• Edit Platform Analytics dashboards
  You can edit dashboard and dashboard tab information in the inline editor. If the dashboard has been shared, any changes you make are applied globally.
• Share a Platform Analytics dashboard
  Share a dashboard with other users, groups, or roles to create a shared view of data that you can use to collaborate. You can grant viewing rights or both viewing and editing rights.
• Duplicate a Platform Analytics dashboard
  Duplicate a dashboard created in the in-line editor so that you can share a modified version with different users.
• Print a Platform Analytics dashboard
  To print a dashboard, create a printer-friendly copy and print that copy from your browser.
• Export a Platform Analytics dashboard
  Export a Platform Analytics experience dashboard to PDF or Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Schedule the export of dashboards and data visualizations
  Automate the export and mailing of dashboards and data visualizations. Help colleagues build presentations, share information with external users, or track data over time.
• Bookmark a Platform Analytics dashboard
  Bookmark a dashboard so that you can find it easily in the Analytics Overview.
• Delete a Platform Analytics dashboard
  You can delete a dashboard that is no longer useful. The Analytics Overview invokes the Workflow Studio to remove the dashboard from your instance.
