The quoting experience opens directly within the Sales CRM workspace — no separate application or tab is required.
- Create a quote from an opportunity — Open an opportunity in the Sales CRM workspace and create a new quote to start the quoting process.
- Fill in the quote header — Enter or review the key details of the quote, such as effective date, currency, and customer information.
- Add products to a quote — Use the embedded ServiceNow catalog to add standard products or launch the Configurator for configurable products.
- Manage quote line actions — Copy, delete, reconfigure, or reprice individual lines in the quote lines grid.
- Apply pricing to a quote — Calculate or refresh pricing across all lines, or adjust discounts and markups on individual lines.

Roles and access
Access to the quoting experience is controlled by personas configured in the Transaction Manager administration interface. Your administrator assigns you a persona that determines which fields, actions, and lifecycle stages are available to you on a quote. Access considerations
Note the following access constraints in the current release.
- Quotes can only be created from an opportunity. Direct quote creation outside of an opportunity is not supported.
- The quoting experience is available in the Sales CRM workspace only. It is not available from the standard ServiceNow platform list or form views.
- Only one quote per opportunity can be designated as the primary quote at a time. Enabling sync on a new quote removes the primary designation from the previous primary quote.
