Remove a dependency

Use the planning console to remove a dependency that is no longer necessary.

About this task

Removing the dependency also deletes the dependency record in the Planned Task Relationship table.

Procedure

1. Open the project in the planning console.
2. Do either of the following.

   Option	Description
   On the Gantt chart	Right-click the relationship and then click Delete Link. Double-click the relationship and then click Delete on the Planned Task Relationship form that appears.
   On the WBS list	Delete the value in the Predecessor column. Click the value in the Predecessor column and then click Delete on the Planned Task Relationship form that appears.
