Reporting open and closed calls per day over a period

Hi

I need to build a report that gives the number of calls logged per day and closed per day over a specified period but cannot for the life of me work out how to do it.

I also need to build a report of totals: So on day 1 we had 4 calls opened and 2 closed then on day 2 we had 6 opened and 7 closed. Example below of what I mean, is it possible to do this without the analytics module?

If you click on the display grid check box, it will give you the total count and all information in detail.



Also check on display data labels to show the same count on the chart.

Yes it does but what I am looking for is the following



One bar that shows the total number of incidents logged on a given day and the total number of calls closed on that same day, repeated for a specified period of time.



Unless I am missing something(Which is eminently possible) the graph we have created tells me how many calls were logged on a given day and if they are still open or now resolved
