Is it possible to create a workspace from scratch?

Hello,

I tried to find a way to create a workspace from scratch, but except with App Engine, I couldn't find.
Is there another way?
Is it possible with UI Builder? (Have you got a link to do so?)

Many thanks!

Hi Yassine,

yes, with the Now Experience UI Builder you can only build/edit Now Experiences (Workspaces, Portals).

The old UI Builder for Agent Workspace still exists, but you can only edit with it existing Agent Workspace pages and not create new Agent Workspaces anymore.

Kind regards
Maik

So you cant just take an existing workspace and do an 'insert and stay' to create a new workspace record? It seems to be working on our instance... we would like to create a new Agent workspace for IT service agents as the CSM team was an early adopter and they have highly customized the OOTB agent workspace for their own purposes which do not align with ITSM... so as opposed to trying to navigate all around their current customizations we would like to build ours using a lot of the same basic elements but not have to necessarily create it from scratch.

Why is this not a recommended approach?

Hello Robert,

If I'm not wrong, normally there is a different workspace for each module: one for ITSM and one other for CSM.

For ITSM, the standard URL is: https://instancename.service-now.com/now/workspace/agent/home.

Alternatively, you can also use App Engine Studio to create a workspace from scratch.
