Create a healthcare organization

Create a healthcare organization, such as a healthcare provider, healthcare department, or organizational team, and associate it with a parent healthcare organization and a common location.

About this task

The menu item you navigate to determines which organization type is created and whether that field is set automatically.

To create a	Navigate to	Organization type
Healthcare provider	All > Healthcare Operations > Healthcare providers	Set automatically to Healthcare provider and read-only.
Healthcare department	All > Healthcare Operations > Healthcare departments	Set automatically to Healthcare department and read-only.
Organizational team	All > Healthcare Operations > Healthcare organizations	Set manually to Organizational Team.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the menu item for the type of healthcare organization you want to create.
2. Select New.
3. If you navigated to the generic Healthcare organizations list, set the Organization type field to the value you want.
   Note:

   If you navigated to Healthcare providers or Healthcare departments, this field is already set and read-only.

4. Fill in the following fields.

   Field	Description
   Name	Name to identify the healthcare organization.
   Parent Organization	Parent organization associated with this healthcare organization.
   Manager	The manager associated with this healthcare organization.
   Phone	Phone number of the healthcare organization.
   Email	Email address associated with the healthcare organization.
   Description	A description of this healthcare organization.
   This is an internal location	Indicates that this healthcare organization is considered an internal location.
   Common Location	The common location associated with this healthcare organization.

5. Select Submit.
