Inactivity monitor isn't triggering the event "task.inactivity " when configured on the Task table

I have created an inactivity monitor on the task table as shown in the below screenshot :

I have configured a notification when the event task.inactivity is being fired. However, I cannot find the corresponding event in the event queue. Can anyone please let me know what could be the probable reason?

There is a caveat that I've found while working with inactivity monitors . If you keep the reset condition, the event fires only once but when you remove it works in a periodic fashion. Weird but true 😞
