Custom tables

Custom tables enable you to expand the functionality of the ServiceNow AI Platform and create custom applications.

About custom tables

Custom tables are tables that aren't part of the base ServiceNow AI Platform system, but are created by a ServiceNow AI Platform administrator and not otherwise exempt. Custom tables can be used to configure and extend base system workflows, and to add new functionality or custom applications to your ServiceNow AI Platform instance. Entitlements for custom tables are included in certain subscription licenses based on the terms of the contract. If you don't have enough custom table entitlements, you can upgrade your license or purchase additional products that include custom table entitlements.

ServiceNow Store applications that consume custom tables

Some applications available from the ServiceNow Store at no additional cost require a number of unallocated custom table entitlements. If an application consumes custom table entitlements, the application listing details and contract show how many are needed. Mapping your custom tables keeps your custom table allotment updated and helps you avoid running out of custom table entitlements.

• Map a missing custom table to a product subscription in Subscription Management

  Map a custom table in the global scope to a product subscription when that table isn't shown in the Unmapped global custom tables tab of Subscription Management. To stay in compliance, all custom tables must be mapped to a product subscription.
