AI-driven regulatory alert summarization skill

The AI-driven summarization feature is designed to provide concise, AI-driven overviews of regulatory alerts directly within the regulatory alert record in the Compliance Workspace. It offers contextual information, including important dates, regulatory authority details, and key changes, helping users to better respond to new alerts.

Overview of a summary

You can quickly learn the details of a regulatory alert from the record summarization generated by Now Assist summarization skill. By reading the regulatory alert summarization, you can get an overview of the alerts that are often high in volume. By default, regulatory alerts in the New state are eligible for summarization. You can, however, modify this behavior by defining custom states or conditions under which summarization should occur. You can also specify the different prompts and the fields from which you want to collect data to create the summary.

Note:

Only users with the sn_grc_comp_genai.reg_change_ai_user role are able to see the option to create a summary for a regulatory alert. This role must be manually assigned to an RCM user.

After generating a summary for a regulatory alert in the New state, a summary displays the following sections:

• Important dates
• Regulatory authority
• Summary of key changes
• Penalties or fines

Section	Description
Important Dates	All explicitly mentioned dates and deadlines related to the regulatory change's implementation or compliance requirements, such as the Date of Publication, Compliance date, Effective date.
Regulatory Authority	Government agency, regulatory body, or industry organization responsible for the new rule or alert, such as Agency: SEC, Jurisdiction: US, Type: Draft Rule.
Summary of Key Changes	Important updates or modifications in the regulation, especially those that could potentially have a significant impact on businesses or stakeholders.
Penalties or Fines	Any incurred penalties or fines related to the regulatory alert if relevant. Note: If no information is available, the generated summary displays “No specific information available for penalty or fines and so on".
