Complete the remediation task for asset attestation in the Hardware Asset Workspace

As an asset manager or inventory administrator, complete the open remediation task that was created when your employee denied ownership of the assigned serialized hardware asset.

Before you begin

Role required: asset or inventory_admin

Procedure

1. View the list of asset attestations.

   UI option	Action
   Inventory view	Navigate to Workspaces > Hardware Asset Workspace > Inventory. Select the Asset attestations tab.
   Asset operations view	Navigate to Workspaces > Hardware Asset Workspace > Asset operations. From the Attestation list, select the Attestations.

2. Select the asset attestation record for which you want to complete the open asset remediation task.
3. Select the Remediation tasks tab.
4. Select the remediation task that's in the Open state.
5. Optional: In the Work notes field of the Asset Task Details form, provide comments related to the asset remediation task.
6. Select Close Task.

Result

• The State of the asset changes from In use to Missing.
• The Assigned to field on the asset record is empty.
