Early availability personal developer instances

With Early Availability, you are given access to personal developer instances running the latest release, before anyone else.

Before you begin

Procedure

1. Note:

   For more information on how to manage your PDI, refer to the Personal developer instance guide.
   To request a new personal developer instance (PDI) running the Early Availability release:
   1. Sign in to the developer site.
   2. Click the Request Instance button in the header.
   3. When the instance is assigned, the instance URL and the admin credentials are added to the My Instance page.
   4. Click the instance link to open the instance in a new browser tab.
2. If the Early Availability release is not available when requesting a new PDI, request a new PDI for an available release then upgrade it to the Early Availability release.
3. If you already have a PDI, upgrade your existing PDI to the Early Availability release:
   1. Open the My Instance Menu.
   2. Under INSTANCE ACTION select the Upgrade Instance action.
   3. Select the Early Availability release.
   4. Click the Upgrade Instance button.
4. If you decide to use an earlier release on your PDI:
   1. Release your PDI.
      For more information on how to release your PDI, see Releasing your PDI.
   2. Request a new PDI running the release of your choice.
      You will need to wait 15 minutes after you release your PDI to request a new one.
