  • The ServiceNow® Next Experience Developer (NED) Tools application provides support for creating components to track and enhance performance and overall improve productivity. NED Tools was enhanced and updated in the Xanadu release.

    Next Experience Developer (NED) Tools highlights for the Xanadu release

    • Record backend data for page with server logs.
    • Get an overview of potential issue for components and actions with a dashboard of health indicators.
    • View a waterfall of calls made to the page with information on how long each call took.
    • Get information on network calls made to your pages including the type of calls, timing, frequency, and network URLs.

    New in the Xanadu release

    Health indicators in the Next Experience Inspector
    The Home view provides information and communicates potential issues on the page through a dashboard of health indicators for components and actions.
    View traces in the Next Experience Inspector
    The Trace view provides a waterfall of calls made to the page with information on how the duration for each call.
    Server-side logs in the Logs tab for Next Experience Inspector
    Record and view backend data by changing your preference from client logs to server logs when you're logged in as an admin.
    Manage events in the Next Experience Inspector
    The Events view provides contextual information and actions for managing events.
    Service workers tab in the Next Experience Inspector
    The Service workers tab provides visibility into service worker behavior.

    Filter through the elements provided within each tab of the Next Experience Inspector.

    Removed in this release

    • The Actions tab has been removed from the Next Experience Inspector.
