  • The ServiceNow® ServiceNow Studio application provides a unified experience for all ServiceNow® development activities, enabling admins and developers to extend base system solutions and easily create custom apps. ServiceNow Studio is a new application in the Xanadu release.

    ServiceNow Studio highlights for the Xanadu release

    • Create, edit, maintain, and deploy custom and globally scoped apps and app files in a single, integrated development environment instead of having to switch back and forth between tools and builders. You can also edit base system apps and files and customize store apps.
    • Search for and edit any type of metadata record using the Navigator file taxonomy.
    • Package app changes for deployment using System Update Sets, pipelines, and the Application Repository.
    • Create applications using Now Assist for app generation.
    • Bookmark applications and application files for easy, fast access.

    ServiceNow Studio features

    Consolidated access to all integrated ServiceNow® builders and tools
    Use all of your favorite ServiceNow builders and tools in one place, without opening them in different products. For example, you can open files for flows in the Workflow Studio tool directly within ServiceNow Studio.
    Work with all supported file types and metadata
    Use the Navigator panel to quickly find, bookmark, and edit any type of supported ServiceNow metadata.
    Deploy updates within ServiceNow Studio
    Manage your deployments using several of the ServiceNow app life-cycle options, such as pipelines, update sets, or the Application Repository, directly within ServiceNow Studio.
    Generate apps using Now Assist
    Edit applications created with Now Assist for app generation directly in ServiceNow Studio.

    Activation information

    Install ServiceNow Studio by requesting it from the ServiceNow Store. Visit the ServiceNow Store website to view all the available apps and for information about submitting requests to the store.
