    Enterprise Asset Dashboard

This dashboard presents a 360-degree view of all assets with filtering options by location, stockroom, model category, and classification. Key widgets include:

    • Asset count by model category: Number of assets grouped by categories such as Medical General or Medical Diagnostic.
    • Asset count by lifecycle state: Assets segmented by states like Retired, In use, or In stock.
    • Asset value by model category: Cost values grouped by categories like Vehicles or Cameras.

    Overall Performance

This section provides insights into asset lifecycle phases and discovery status, including:

    • Model lifecycle overview: Tracks phases like General Availability and End of Life.
    • Discovered vs. undiscovered asset count: Comparison by model category.
    • Assets available for refresh: Identifies assets eligible for refresh based on expiry dates.

Asset Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

The TCO tab offers detailed metrics and benchmarking related to asset costs. Customers can create and manage comparative TCO reports with filtering capabilities. Important features include:

    • Viewing reports only with active data sources, and managing offline reports by running update jobs to refresh data.
    • Widgets showing assets that have reached or are approaching benchmark TCO, assets designated for capital planning, and the top 10 models with the highest average TCO.
    • Expense distribution visualizations by cost types such as Purchase, Contract, Labor, and Resold value, including monthly expense trends over the last 12 months.

Asset Performance (Enterprise Asset Management version 9.0+)

This tab provides key performance indicators (KPIs) critical for asset management:

    • Availability: Average percentage of asset uptime.
    • Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF): Average operating time between failures.
    • Mean Time To Repair (MTTR): Average repair time.

Customers can apply up to two filters (Domain, Location, Classification, Model) to focus KPI reports, view weekly trends, and access detailed KPI pages to set targets and alerts for significant changes.

Data Visualizations (Enterprise Asset Management version 9.0+)

This feature allows asset managers to view and create customized visualizations using the Visualization Designer. Users can access visualizations they own, those shared with them, and bookmarked or certified visualizations. Editing rights are limited to visualizations created by the user.

    Practical Benefits for ServiceNow Customers
