ServiceNow Studio release notes
TheServiceNow® ServiceNow Studio application provides a unified experience for all ServiceNow development activities, enabling admins and developers to extend base system solutions and create custom apps. ServiceNow Studio was enhanced and updated in the Australia release.
ServiceNow Studio highlights for the Australia release
- Create and edit full-stack applications conversationally with Build Agent, an autonomous AI agent.
- Build pages for workspaces or custom web experiences in your applications by adding UI Builder files to your application in ServiceNow Studio.

Important information for upgrading ServiceNow Studio to Australia
ServiceNow Studio no longer has to be downloaded from the ServiceNow Store. It’s available on the ServiceNow AI Platform by default.
New in the Australia release

- Use Build Agent in ServiceNow Studio to create and edit full-stack applications conversationally.
- Add UI Builder files to your apps in ServiceNow Studio
- Build pages by adding UI Builder components, controllers, experiences, page collections, and UI interactions into your ServiceNow Studio apps.
- New vibe coding documentation
- Explore vibe coding, which is a natural language approach to application development in ServiceNow, with new documentation, including how to get started, when to use it, and how it fits within the broader suite of AI-powered development tools.
UI changes
- ServiceNow Studio user interface
- The Navigator panel icons in ServiceNow Studio have changed slightly in size and appearance, but not in function.
Changed in this release
- Integrated tab groupings
- Integrated tabs are no longer color-coded or grouped by scope. You can see a list of the open files by selecting the more actions icon and selecting Show Opened Editors.
- Build Agent in ServiceNow Studio
- Build Agent is the default setting for AI-assisted app generation in ServiceNow Studio. You can change this setting in the ServiceNow Studio user preferences menu.
Removed in this release
The Now Assist icon was removed and replaced with a Build Agent chat panel, which is open by default. If the chat panel is closed, you can re-open Build Agent from the status bar in the browser window.

ServiceNow Studio is a ServiceNow AI Platform feature that is active by default.
