Customers in specific regulated markets, certain protected data centers (FedRAMP, NSC DOD IL5, Australia IRAP), self-hosted environments, or with in-country SKUs may have limited access. ServiceNow regularly updates feature availability, so customers should verify current support for their environment.
Important Considerations
- AI Limitations: AI outputs may not always be accurate or complete. Customers must evaluate and validate AI-generated content, especially in high-impact domains like healthcare, finance, legal, security, and infrastructure, and maintain human oversight.
- Data Processing: Data used by the application may be transferred to centralized ServiceNow environments or third-party cloud providers for processing, in accordance with ServiceNow’s internal policies and compliance standards.
- Data Collection and Privacy: ServiceNow collects inputs, outputs, edits, and usage metrics to improve AI technologies. Customers can opt out of data collection at any time per the Now Assist opt-out process.
- Compliance: Usage must comply with ServiceNow’s AI Acceptable Use Policy, which may be updated periodically.

Data processing
This application requires data to be transferred from ServiceNow customers' individual instances to a centralized ServiceNow environment, which may be located in a different data center region from the one where your instance is, and potentially to a third-party cloud provider, such as Microsoft Azure. This data is handled per ServiceNow's internal policies and procedures, including our policies available through our CORE Compliance Portal.
Data collection
ServiceNow collects and uses the inputs, outputs, and edits to outputs of this application to develop and improve ServiceNow technologies including ServiceNow models and AI products. In addition, this application will collect skill usage metrics. Customers can opt out of future data collection at any time, as described in the Now Assist Opt-Out page.
