Experimentation framework

The experimentation framework enables ServiceNow to test and release new features using A/B testing in order to collect feedback to improve product experiences.

Each experiment includes information about its scope and which feature variants are being tested. Only single customer instances or Gen AI Innovation Program participants have early access to new innovations via the experimentation framework.

The framework captures only aggregated usage metrics (such as feature usage, performance) to assess the impact of a feature. No personally identifiable information is collected, and all data handling aligns with our standard privacy and security practices.

You have full transparency and control over your instance's use of the experimentation framework. You can view active experiments by navigating to All > Experimentation Framework > All Experiments. You can also choose to opt out of individual experiments or turn off the framework entirely.
