Manage product adoption roadmaps for the Impact Store Application

    • Create a product adoption roadmap (PAR) using either a predefined template or a custom roadmap.

    Before you begin

    • Evaluate the capabilities currently in Planning, Implementing, In Use, Not in Use, No Intent to Use, and Needs Validation.  
    • Add or remove capabilities as needed to align with business outcomes specific to your organization.
    • View notes specific to a capability that span across phases.
    • View notes for a capability specific to that phase to see pre-requisites, plan training, and evaluate additional implementation considerations.

    Role required: Impact admin, Platform Owner, Impact Portfolio Owner, and Impact Executive.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Impact > Product adoption.
    2. On the Impact Workspace, select Product adoption > Product adoption roadmaps.
    3. Select Create roadmap.
    4. On the Create new product adoption roadmap, page provide a name in the Roadmap owner field.
    5. In the How do you want to start? section, indicate whether you want to create the roadmap from a template or manually.

      Create from a Template
      1. Select Create from a template.
      2. Select a template in the Choose a template section.
        Note:
        You can access product adoption roadmap templates with pre-defined sequence of capabilities for ITSM, ITOM, Security Operations, Customer Service Management, Risk and Field Service Management.
      Create a roadmap manually
      1. Enter a name for the template.
      2. (Optional) Enter a description.
    6. Select Create.
    7. Select a capability to view its details page, and to view or edit phase level notes.
      Select a capability in a created map to view its details and edit phases.

      Select the About tab to view capability notes and phase specific notes for that capability. See Capability Details Page.

    8. Select Edit Roadmap Details to edit the name, description and owner of the map.
    9. Select Manage capabilities for a phase to add or remove capabilities.
    10. Select the ellipsis icon for a phase to modify a phase and do the following. 
      1. Select Add new phase to add a new phase to a capability.
      2. Select Delete phase to delete a phase.
      3. Select Edit Phase titles and descriptions to edit phase titles and descriptions. 
      Manage capability for a given phase by adding, deleting, edit phase titles and descriptions.
    11. Select Publish.
      The product adoption roadmap is published and is available to other members on your account and the Impact squad. 
    12. Select Edit to edit a published roadmap to manage the adoption phases and capabilities.
