What You Receive
- Session Preparation: Includes provisioning of a temporary instance and installation or updating of necessary CMDB-related plugins.
- Customer Coaching Session #1 (up to 90 minutes): Offers a comprehensive demonstration and overview of CMDB capabilities, including tools like CMDB Workspace, Identification Reconciliation Engine, CMDB Data Manager, and health dashboards. Customers get 30 days access to the temporary instance.
- Customer Coaching Session #2 (optional, up to 60 minutes): Available upon customer request to address additional questions and provide further guidance on CMDB topics.
Customer Roles and Responsibilities
Successful participation in the Jumpstart Your CMDB Accelerator requires involvement from key customer roles:
- Platform Owner (Required): Responsible for overall platform governance, leadership, and alignment with business strategy.
- System Administrator(s) (Required): Maintain platform stability, manage application support, and implement configuration tasks.
- Process Owner(s) (Required): Senior leaders accountable for ensuring that business processes are fit for purpose.
- Developer(s) (Recommended): Provide platform coding expertise.
- Trusted Service Partners (Recommended): Participate in coaching sessions to learn best practices and potentially support ongoing customer efforts.

Customers should refer to the applicable Impact Accelerator descriptions for requested information and access requirements. Note that some aspects of this Accelerator may not be available in certain restricted environments such as FedRAMP, NSC DOD IL5, Australia IRAP-Protected data centers, or self-hosted instances.

Jumpstart Your CMDB provides Impact customers with a comprehensive overview of platform CMDB capabilities to ensure customers have a sound understanding of CMDB fundamentals and a strategic plan for success. Our goal is to place customers in a position for success from the very start, enabling you to create a strategy for leveraging ServiceNow resources. Resources include the CMDB Workspace, CI Class Manager, and Reconciliation rules to streamline working in your CMDB. See Configuration Management for information on CMDB.

| Process Owner(s) (Required) | A senior leader within each business unit for each major process or service (e.g., incident, change, employee onboarding) who is accountable for ensuring the process is fit for purpose. |
| Developer(s) (Recommended) | Writes code for the ServiceNow platform. |
| Trusted Service Partners (Recommended) | Attends ServiceNow Impact Accelerator coaching session(s) to understand leading practices and potentially support customer going forward. |
