Configuring Virtual Agent API

Configure Virtual Agent API to connect ServiceNow Virtual Agent and Live Agent with any conversational interface.

Review these sections to configure Virtual Agent API.

1. Install Virtual Agent API.
2. Review the inbound REST endpoint and configure inbound authentication.
3. Configure output response REST endpoint and outbound authentication for the Virtual Agent API (v4.1 or above).
4. Test your Virtual Agent API configuration.

• Install Virtual Agent API
  Install the Virtual Agent API app to integrate any chat interface or a bot with ServiceNow® Virtual Agent or Agent Chat.
• Review the inbound REST endpoint and configure inbound authentication
  After you install the Virtual Agent API, navigate to the Scripted REST API resource to review the endpoint and set up authentication.
• Configure output response REST endpoint and outbound authentication for the Virtual Agent API (v4.1 or above)
  Specify the outbound endpoint URL to which the Virtual Agent responses are posted. Configure outbound authentication.
• Test your Virtual Agent API configuration
  Test your Virtual Agent API configuration using API testing tool.
