Setup Tasks and Key Configuration Areas
- Application Installation: Ensure the MSIM application is installed and activated via the ServiceNow Store. Verify that dependent applications such as File Explorer Core, Microsoft SharePoint File Explorer Connector, Microsoft Teams Chat Connector, Major Security Incident Response, and Security Incident Response are also installed in the specified order.
- User Role Assignments: Assign appropriate MSIM roles including MSI Administrator, MSI Manager, and MSI Responder to users involved in the incident lifecycle. These roles govern permissions and responsibilities within MSIM.
- Microsoft SharePoint Integration:
- Set up Microsoft SharePoint v1.0.0 configuration within ServiceNow, including establishing Graph and REST API connections to synchronize data between SharePoint and ServiceNow.
- Create or identify a Microsoft SharePoint site and establish a dedicated document library to organize incident-related files.
- Assign required permissions to users and groups to control access to SharePoint resources.
- Configure the Microsoft SharePoint Drive in ServiceNow by setting up the File Explorer Connector, Folder and File Actions, and Folder Templates to support incident-specific document management.
- Microsoft Teams Integration:

Establish Graph and REST connection to connect to your ServiceNow® instance from Microsoft SharePoint. |
