Create a move-related knowledge base article

  • Create a knowledge base article so that you can provide move-related information or notices to employees.

    Avant de commencer

    Ensure that you have the following applications installed:
    • Workplace Core
    • Workplace Case Management.

    Role required: sn_wsd_core.admin or sn_wsd_core.kb_writer

    Procédure

    1. Navigate to All > Workplace Core > Knowledge management > Create new article.
    2. Select New.
    3. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Knowledge base Name of the knowledge base. Select the Workplace services knowledge base.
      Category Relevant category for the knowledge base article. Select an existing category, or select the add category icon (Add category icon.) to add a new category.

      You can also select or add a subcategory.

      Valid to Date until which the knowledge base article is valid. The date is automatically set to 2100-01-01.
      Article type Type of article, which you want to create. Choices are as follows:
      • Select Wiki to create a wiki page.
      • Select HTML to create an html web page.
      Workflow This field is automatically set as Draft. Depending on the progress, the workflow of the knowledge base article changes to the following states:
      • Review
      • Published
      • Pending retirement
      • Retired
      Attachment link Option to give an attachment for the knowledge base article.
      Display attachments Option to display the attachments individually.
      Short description Short description for the knowledge base article. The short description is displayed as the title of the article.
      Article body Information that is displayed in the knowledge base article. Use the formatting options to change the style of the content. This field appears only if HTML is selected from the Article type field.
      Wiki Information that is displayed in the knowledge base article as a wiki. Select the Wikitext option to preview the text. This field appears if Wiki is selected from the Article type field.
    4. Facultatif : To search existing articles for any duplicate content, select Search for Duplicates.
    5. Select Submit.

    Résultats

    The knowledge base article is created.
