Common data visualization tasks

See how to edit, share, duplicate, and delete Platform Analytics data visualizations, along with other common tasks. Most tasks are launched from the same menu.

• Edit a data visualization in an inline dashboard
  You can create and edit a data visualization from within the inline dashboard editor. Not all the options are the same as in the Visualization Designer. You can move between the inline editor and the Visualization Designer.
• Edit a data visualization in the Visualization Designer
  After you create a data visualization, you can return to it and edit the data visualization's appearance and other aspects.
• Add a visualization to a dashboard from the Visualization Designer
  Add a visualization from the Visualization Designer to a new dashboard or to an existing dashboard.
• Duplicate a visualization in the Visualization Designer
  Duplicate a visualization so that you can use aspects of the source in a copy of the visualization.
• Share a data visualization in the Visualization Designer
  Share a visualization to provide view or edit permissions to users, groups, or roles. A user can access a shared visualization in any workspace on the original instance.
• Export a data visualization from the Visualization Designer
  Export individual data visualizations to various formats and sizes. Download the exports or share them over email.
• Schedule the export of data visualizations or dashboards
  Automate the export and mailing of data visualizations. Help colleagues build presentations, share information with external users, or track data over time.
• Delete a visualization in the Visualization Designer
  You can delete a data visualization that is no longer useful.
• Bookmark a visualization in the Visualization Designer
  Bookmark a visualization so that you can find it easily in the Data Visualizations library.
