An open letter from ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott
The best way to get through this? Together.
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, ServiceNow is putting our technology to work. The Now Platform® and the community apps we launched last week are helping organizations worldwide better manage the critical emergency response workflows required during this global pandemic.
We’re humbled that nearly 1,000 organizations worldwide, including local, state, and federal agencies, have downloaded these tools, with many immediately activating the apps to incredible, and potentially life-saving, effect.
The Washington State Department of Health and their CIO, Jennifer McNamara, is a notable partner in this effort. The Emergency Response Operations community app was quickly developed by them on the Now Platform. They needed a digital workflow solution to more quickly coordinate emergency response. The app has enabled the Department of Health to move faster, better coordinate people and logistics, and have real-time visibility into response activities. And, now we’re proud to partner with them to make this app available at no-charge to everyone.
In addition to the Emergency Response Operations app, ServiceNow is also proud of the fast effort by our own engineering teams to develop three other community apps to help: Emergency Outreach, Emergency Self Report, and Emergency Exposure Management. Together, these four community apps are designed to help customers and non-customers, including government agencies and enterprises, manage complex emergency response workflows. The apps are no-charge. They are configurable, and they are available in the ServiceNow store.
We also are grateful for the support from our partners, particularly Accenture, Deloitte, DXC Technology, EY, and KPMG. Each stepped up quickly to help customers deploy these community apps.
None of us is as smart as all of us. And no one succeeds alone. It is with deep appreciation we recognize the collective efforts of our teams, partners, and customers to put technology in the service of people.
Thanks to everyone working to flatten the COVID-19 curve. Together, we will prevail.
