Actual Elapsed Time not getting updated on the reports

My query is I have created one dashboard on my homescreen which shows the Actual elapsed Time of the Incidents that gets assigned to a particular Group.
What I have observed is when a new Incident is assigned to the group if we refresh the dashboard multiple times also the Actual elapsed time is not updating. But, If we open the Incident and check the actual Elapsed Time and then refresh the dashboard then It is updating the correct Actual elapsed time.
The Report is created on incident_sla Table. The same behavior is observed for Actual elapsed time in the List View of the table.
Can Anyone suggest how can we overcome this? And what is the reason behind Actual Elapsed Time not updating when we refresh the report?
