Can Emails be displayed in the Card view on a VTB Board?

Received a request to add to the Activities/Filtered on Stories to include emails (autogenerated or correspondence).

While I was able to do that in Story using a VTB View, they do not appear on the Card view on the VTB 

 

Can this be done?  If so, how?
