Change states are not reflecting accordingly to when change stages are changing

Hi Friends,

I have some problem in state getting updated in our change request, when the Stage is moving .This is driven by workflow activity.

sometimes I can see the workflow showing the correct state, but not reflecting on the form.

sometimes I can see the workflow is stuck and not updating properly.

So do you have any solution for this.

Or please suggest me if I can write a business rule with high order to change the states according to the stages movement and overriding the workflow action.

Is it a work around or not a best practice to do?

How do you work here? Do the users themself change states at all, or do you want the workflow(stages) to handle all the stage changes? Normally it's the state that pushes the workflow/stages forward instead. Or are you mixing stage/state in your text and mean that the stage on the form doesn't show the same stage as is in the workflow?

Infact correct state and stage are not being set by Workflow activity when all approval tasks are completed



For EX: (Initial Assessment/ Technical Approval / Test Approval / Business Approval / Manual Approval) are done


                        (CAB Approval) is done



Ideally the state now should be in Scheduled state. But it sometimes it will be either in Assess or Authorize state.



It is not happening for all the tickets . For some tickets it is happening.



I could not find a pattern for a particular criteria if it is happening, so that I can troubleshoot.



It is happening randomly.
