Installation Workflow
- Virtual Machine Setup: Use any Type 1 or Type 2 hypervisor (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Proxmox) and install a compatible Linux distribution such as Red Hat/Rocky 8.x or 9.x, Debian 12, or Ubuntu 22.04/24.04.
- Hardware Requirements: Minimum 16 GB RAM, 100 GB hard disk, and 2 CPUs are recommended to support the Console.
- Connectivity: Confirm access to your ServiceNow instance and an internet connection is required during non-containerized package installation to download dependencies like MongoDB and RabbitMQ.
- Download Packages: Obtain Discovery Console for OT, Discovery Sensor for OT, and OT Discovery Collector packages from the Downloads page.
- Containerized Option: For environments without internet access, containerized packages are available for Console and Collector installation.
Installation Process
- Transfer the Console installer package to the VM and extract the ConsoleInstaller zip file.
- Run the installation script (
./console-init.sh) to install required components and dependencies automatically. - Access the web console UI at
https://<Console VM IP>:8443to manage the Discovery Console. - Register the initial user by providing username, email, and creating or generating a password. Save the password securely to avoid lockout.
- Accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) to proceed with Console access.

Workflow
In your instance, navigate to the Service Graph Connector for ServiceNow OT Discovery Guided Setup page and select Get Started. In the top section, select the Download & Deploy OT Discovery link. The Download & Deploy OT Discovery page opens. Select Configure and the Downloads page opens. Download the OT component packages.
