Create an action type

Create an action type to associate with an action category. Action types are a sub-set of action category. They are used for easier identification based on need.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_ac.automation_technical_user and sn_ac.automation_admin

Procedure

1. Navigate to All > Automation center > Build > Action Categories.
2. From the list of action categories, select an action category for which you want to create an action type.
3. Select New from the Action Type area.
4. On the form, fill in the details.

   Field	Description
   Name	An intuitive name for the action type.
   Application	Scope of the action type. This is auto-populated. Do not edit this field.
   Description	Description of the action type.
   Parent	The action category that you have selected is automatically populated. Do not edit this field.

5. Select Submit.
