Use the Click component

  • Simulate the click actions of the mouse device on applications and programs with the Click component in RPA Desktop Design Studio.

    About this task

    You can configure the properties for the Click component. For more information about these properties, see Properties of the Mouse components.

    Procedure

    1. In the Toolbox pane, navigate to Utilities > Mouse.
    2. Drag the Click component to the Design surface.
    3. To configure the input fields, see Configure port properties.
    4. Connect the data and control ports of the Click component to the corresponding ports of the other components as described in the following table.
      Port type Purpose of connection Mandatory?
      Data In (Left) Takes the exact position from the left of the screen in integer from a previously executed component. The mouse device click will occur at this position. Yes
      Data In (Top) Takes the exact position from the top of the screen in integer from a previously executed component. The mouse device click will occur at this position. Yes
      Data In (ClickType) Takes the type of click action the mouse device will perform from a previously executed component. Yes
      Control In Connects to the Control Out port of one or more components. Yes
      Control Out Connects to the Control In port of any other component. No
    5. Optional: To test the component, under the DESIGN tab, click Run.
