Role based access within IT team

Hello want to understand more about ServiceNow role-based access, specifically within the IT Team, (not looking at segregation of access for different teams like HR, Admin, or IT) currently, there is only one role access which is - ITIL, but there are different teams like application, infra, and end-user support. All of them are under one access type and can view/edit any ticket. is it possible to restrict this? I mean, access restriction for each team within IT.

Yes, it is possible through scripting, ACLs etc. but why? It will take a lot of effort to create and maintain this.
