Key Features
- Automated Tweeting: Send tweets containing text or media automatically in response to ServiceNow events using predefined actions.
- Tweet Actions: The spoke offers a primary action to tweet messages or media, respecting X’s message and media limits. To tweet media, use the “Look Up Attachment Records” action prior to tweeting to retrieve necessary media files.
- AI Agent Integration: Includes an AI agent for managing tweets that can post text-based tweets to a configured X handle, enhancing automation with human-like intelligence.
- Connection and Credential Management: Utilizes Integration Hub aliases to manage connection and credential details efficiently across multiple environments, minimizing configuration effort.
Requirements and Setup
- An Integration Hub subscription is mandatory to use the X Spoke.
- Use of X developer account and app is required with valid access tokens, secrets, consumer key, and consumer secret to access X APIs.
- Two separate connection and credential aliases must be configured: one for tweeting messages and one for tweeting media, each linked to the respective X API.
- Refer to the X Developers documentation for detailed instructions on creating the developer app and obtaining necessary credentials.
Practical Benefits for ServiceNow Customers
- Automate social media communications directly from your workflows, reducing manual effort.
- Enhance visibility and engagement by posting timely updates to your X account triggered by ServiceNow processes.

| X Tweet management AI agent | This AI Agent posts tweets to the X handle that you had configured that contain text. Note: You must configure a valid X handle before using this AI Agent. |
- There might be AI agents installed with the Now Assist application that are not used in agentic workflows. To learn how to see all agents that are available on your instance, see Find AI agents.

Connection and credential alias requirements
Integration Hub uses aliases to manage connection and credential information. Using an alias eliminates the need to configure multiple credentials and connection information profiles when using multiple environments. If the connection or credential information changes, you don't need to update any actions that use the connection. For more information, see Connections and Credentials.
For information about setting up the spoke, see Set up the X spoke.
