Critical incident Formula indicator

In the servicenow documentation the formula to calculate the % of new critical incidents is as follows

The percentage of new incidents filtered on the Priority breakdown with the breakdown element 1 - Critical. The score is calculated according to the formula ( [[Number of new incidents > Priority = 1 - Critical]] / [[Number of new incidents]] ) * 100.

Im kind of confused as to why the formula indicates new incidents greater than priority 1, rather i think the formula should indicate new incidents whose priority is equal to 1-critical

Im a getting this wrong...can someone please explain.

thank you

Hi @newnowlearner ,

Which link have you got the formula from? and what is it exactly that you would like to calculate by utilizing formula indicators? According to above statement "% of new critical incidents is as follows"  it doesn't make any sense. If you mean "What % of new incidents created today is 1-critical" will make sense.

But again, please either provide a link to the formula you have seen in documentation, or an exact description of what you would like to calculate, so that I can help you best possible.
