How to add Serial Number to hundreds of assets

Hey Community,

I need some assistance. We use the procurement module so when we purchase assets, they are automatically created when received. We then receive an excel sheet with the hundreds of serial numbers for the assets. What is the best/easiest way to add serial numbers to these newly created assets? I know how to do data sources/transform map when I have something to coalesce on but with these assets being bare bones, I can't coalesce on anything. Let's say I have 300 hardware assets that I just received/created and I have an excel sheet that has 300 serial numbers. How do I just take 1 serial number and assign it to 1 of those new assets and go down the list...

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You can perhaps export the 300 assets that got created in ServiceNow with the asset tag. Then add those 300 serial numbers to the sheet and import the data back by coalescing on asset tag.
