Review extracted information in the Document Intelligence workspace

Use the Document Intelligence workspace to review the information that was extracted from a document or image file by Now Assist in Document Intelligence.

Role required: sn_docintel.admin, sn_docintel.creation_agent, or sn_docintel.extraction_agent

About this task

Now Assist uses generative AI capabilities to make predictions on the information to extract from a file for the fields, tables, and questions defined in the use case. The Document Intelligence workspace provides document management features that enable you to quickly review and process the extracted information.

With the Document Intelligence workspace, you can:

• Review the Now Assist predictions and confirm or edit the extracted text.
• Review the answers generated by Now Assist and edit them for accuracy.
• Identify fields or answers as missing in the document.

Procedure

1. Open the Document Intelligence workspace to view the document and the extracted information.
2. In the extraction review panel, select a field or question.

   The item’s review status is set to In progress.

   If Now Assist can detect the source of its prediction in the document, it will highlight it in the document image panel.

   Collapse a side panel using the Collapse icon (), if needed.

3. Review the field or question for accuracy.
   Note:

   The field value or answered question is a generative AI prediction based on the document text or image. Review it carefully to ensure that it is accurate.
4. Optional: Take the appropriate action on the field value or answered question.

   For information on using the draw tool, see Extract fields using the draw tool.

   Option	Description
   Edit the field value or answer	To make a change: Select the Edit icon () in the field or question. Select the Edit icon again. Edit or type a new value in the text box. Select Save.
   Mark the field value or answer as missing in the document	If you can’t find an appropriate match, mark it as missing in the document. Select the Edit icon () in the field or question. Select the Edit icon again. Select Answer is missing in the document. Select Save.
   Mark the field value or answer as reviewed	Confirm that you've reviewed all fields and questions for accuracy before you submit. Select the Edit icon () in the field or question. Select Mark as reviewed. [Optional] If needed, select the Reviewed icon () to mark the question as unreviewed.

5. Select the next field or question and repeat steps 3 to 4.
6. Select Submit.
   Note:

   Generative AI may not always produce accurate, complete, or appropriate information. It is important to review all field values and answers for accuracy before submitting.

Result

The extracted values are saved. Empty fields and answers are submitted with no values.
