Russ Elmer is General Counsel and Secretary of ServiceNow. He believes that the legal and ethics function in any organisation is a critical business partner in earning and maintaining customer trust and loyalty. Since joining ServiceNow in November 2018, he has led the legal and ethics function, helping the company scale to meet the growing demands of our customers while maintaining their trust. Russ is proud to lead a team of world-class legal and ethics professionals as ServiceNow reinvents the industry. Prior to joining ServiceNow, Russ held leadership roles at LendingClub Corporation, PayPal Holdings, Inc., following its separation from eBay Inc., eBay Inc., Pricelock, Inc. and E*TRADE Financial Corporation. From 1990 to 2000, he served as a lawyer and partner at Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP. Russ holds a J.D. degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law and an A.B. degree in Political Science and International Relations from Stanford University.
