Request Accelerators and Initiatives for Impact Store Application

From Impact Store application, request a designated number of concurrent Impact Accelerators according to your subscription and complete the setup.

Role required: impact app admin, or impact platform owner, or impact portfolio owner

About this task

Both the Accelerators and the Initiatives in the Impact Store App follow a similar procedure for requesting and monitoring the progress.

Procedure

1. Navigate to All > Impact > Accelerators & initiatives > Overview.
2. Select Request Accelerators & initiatives from the Your Accelerators and Initiatives Overview page.
3. In the Accelerator Catalog, select an Accelerator card and select the maximize icon to view the details.
4. Select Request Accelerator.

   Schedule the Accelerator for later using the Schedule later button, if you have reached the maximum number of allowed concurrent Accelerators.

5. Select View terms and conditions for this Accelerator to understand the terms in the Consent Provided section.

   If you have granted consent for an Accelerator once, the terms and conditions for the Accelerator appears as accepted.

   If you have not granted consent for an Accelerator so far, you need to accept the terms and conditions from the Manage Permissions menu in the Impact IDE. See Manage Initiative and Accelerator permissions for more information.

   If you need time to decide, select Revoke. Your request doesn’t move forward.

6. On the Request form section, fill in the fields.

   Table 1. Accelerator request form fields

   Field	Description
   Instance type to copy	Instance type such as Production or Sub-production
   Instance to copy	Name of the instance in selected instance type
   Use ServiceNow demonstration instance	Option to use ServiceNow demo instance for the Accelerator request
   Do not upgrade the temporary instance	Option to use the copied instance for the Accelerator request without upgrade
   Temporary instance access	User to receive access for the temporary instance
   Preferred start date	Preferred start date for the Accelerator
   Assign to business objective	Business goal expected for this Accelerator
   Owner	Name of the Owner for the Accelerator request
   Watchlist	Names of the team members who need to know the progress of the Accelerator request
   Reason for Request	Reason for the Accelerator request
   Attachments	Relevant files for reference

7. Initiate the Accelerator setup by selecting Complete Setup.
   A dedicated Accelerator setup page displays the status of the Accelerator setup.
8. Select Start Accelerator.
9. Follow the progress of the Accelerator setup along with the Activity Information on the navigation panes.
   If you requested to copy an instance, the progress of the instance copy appears on the navigation pane.
10. Respond to the Impact squad by using Notes, Comments, and adding Attachments.
11. Select Complete Accelerator when all the activities listed on the navigation pane are complete.

    Action	Description
    Put Accelerator on Hold	Pause an Accelerator for reasons such as a pending decision or clarification. You can Resume the Accelerator later.
    Cancel Accelerator	Stop progress of the Accelerator request if you change your decision.

    If you want to complete or cancel an Accelerator before all the activities are done, all activities that are in progress get canceled. You have the choice to Confirm or Cancel your decision. You can also Reopen an Accelerator.
    Note the status of the Accelerator changes to Complete or Canceled.
