Set the breakdown definitions that act as filters for your project. Breakdown definitions are used to filter and analyze the data based on specific criteria or attributes. These definitions enable you to break down the
analysis into smaller subsets, focusing on specific dimensions or perspectives of the process.

Role required: sn_process_optimization_analyst, sn_process_optimization_power_user, or sn_process_optimization_admin
About this task
Note: You can configure a maximum of 10 breakdown definitions for the parent table configuration and 5 breakdown definitions for any child table configuration. You cannot generate more than 5000 elements for any breakdown
definition.
Procedure

Navigate to .
If you continue from the Set Objectives page, you are on the Scope your analysis page.

Select the edit button for the Scope your analysis section.

On the Scope your analysis page, select Breakdowns from the left bar.

Select New in the Breakdowns area.

On the Breakdown Definition form, fill in the fields as needed.

Name to display for this breakdown. If no name is entered, the breakdown displays the value of the Field field. |

Select the field to use for the breakdown. If you use a reference field, such as Assignment group, you can also add a filter condition. |

Select Save, and then select Next or Save and Exit.
If you select Next, you’re taken to the Improvement opportunities page. If you want to add or edit anything in the Scope your analysis page, you can
go back manually.
