Configure extended properties for a class

Each class has a unique set of extended properties that appear in the Unified Map Attributes panel for a CI. Many common classes are preconfigured with such properties. You can modify the default settings and globally configure extended properties for additional classes.

About this task

Note:

This setting affects all users. Individual users cannot configure this setting. See Configure map filters and Configure options for the Related items module for settings that individual users can use to customize their personal experience with Unified Map.

Procedure

1. Navigate to All and then, in the Filter box in the main navigation bar, enter sn_cmdb_ws_node_map_table_attributes.list to access the Table Attributes table.
2. Select an existing record or select New and then fill out the form.

   Field	Description
   CMDB Class Name	The class to which this configuration applies.
   Display attributes	List of attributes that appear as extended attributes in the contextual side panel when a user selects the Properties module for a CI. The list contains attributes of the specified CMDB Class Name from which you can select. To unlock the field, select the Unlock Display attributes icon.

3. Select Submit or Update.
