Outcome versioning in Impact

  • Outcome versioning distinguishes between the standard and enhanced sets of outcome definitions in the Impact Value App, helping you track performance consistently and interpret your results accurately.

Outcome versioning is not a separate stage in the value management lifecycle, but a lens that applies across the three stages described previously: The outcomes that are available when objectives and outcomes are defined, the way those outcomes are measured in outcome insights, and the model on which a value report is based.

    Choosing a correct Outcome Model

    • For a first-time ITSM implementation, the Enhanced outcome model is the recommended choice. This selection is made using the Outcome model filter on the Objectives and Outcomes setup page.
    • For an ITSM implementation already tracked under the Standard outcome model, Enhanced outcomes can be tracked in parallel by selecting Enhanced from the same filter. Existing Standard tracking remains unaffected.
    • For all other products, only the standard outcome model is available, and the setup experience remains unchanged.
